Women4integration

The WOMEN4INTEGRATION project is carried out in partnership with the Municipality of Milan, Il Telaio
delle Arti APS, Piano C, Politecnico di Milano (in Italy), Yalla Trappan, University of Malmö (in Sweden), Netwerkpro (in Holland) and Fundación Surt (in Spain) and has the following objectives:
- Support the capacity of migrant women living in deprived areas of large European metropolises by encouraging their full integration into social life and gender equality, promoting a new model of interaction with local institutions and services.
- Identify and enhance the professional skills of migrant women and facilitate their stable integration into the labor market.
- Design a territorial approach that contributes to the integration of migrant women in disadvantaged neighborhoods by promoting the transfer of experiences, knowledge and practices with project partners.
- Improve the management capacity of institutions and local actors on the issue of integration of migrant women through awareness-raising activities, the dissemination of project results and the sharing of experiences.
The Loom of the Arts deals specifically with the part concerning social integration, helping women to:
interact with each other; meet and share emotions, work and life experiences; enhance their talents and
recognize their transversal skills; know the services available in the area. All this through art therapies, thanks to which the body will become a work tool and at the same time a focus of transformation.
The meetings are held in the presence of a mediator in order to encourage the participation of women
who do not know the Italian language well.
